Hello! I am a linguistic professor and languages are my biggest passion. My major is German, but I also teach and speak English, Russian, and Italian. I currently live in the US but my background is European, as I am from Moscow. If you are looking for a fun, flexible, and easy-to-get-along-with tutor for either German or Russian, I am perfect for you. I am a linguistic professor specializing in Germanic and Slavonic languages, and a certified methodist.

I provide a variety of activities for my lessons so you will never get bored. For example, I use games, interactive conversational lessons, fun warm-up tasks, case studies, and even riddles. We will also use authentic materials. You will learn conversational skills, formal writing skills, and test-taking strategies all in a fun manner.

I have a background as an experienced lecturer, teacher, and tutor in the field of linguistics such as general linguistics, history of linguistics, psycholinguistics, social linguistics, and gender studies. Since defending my dissertation, I have continued to research gender studies in the field of virtual communication and digital text, especially non-verbal communication, social networks, and gender-specific communication. However, I have found that my true passion is helping students in one-on-one lessons.
