I received my BA from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in both Mathematics and Economics. I received my MS in Applied Economics from Johns Hopkins University. Currently, I am a doctoral candidate at George Washington University in Engineering Management.

My name is Alejandra Paulino and I am second year student at Cornell University. During my time in high school I tutored 2-7th graders. I started a tutoring service in my high school for 5th graders who were failing their common core classes and allowed 15 of the students whom I was tutoring to pass onto the 6 grade. During my time at Cornell, I tutored high schoolers and middle schoolers in Ithaca for a total of two semesters. I will continue this service once I go back.

I have recently graduated as a chemical engineer from HKUST. I scored 5 A*s in my A Levels and was offered a full scholarship from HKUST. I have been teaching students for the last 5 years, and students have noticed at least one grade improvement following tutoring from me. I love to teach Mathematics, but my background and university courses allow me to teach Chemistry, Physics, Accounting, and Economics up to A levels as well. My main focus is for students to ask questions and learn to love the subject by exploring the applications of the subject. However, I also prepare the students to tackle exam questions properly by guiding them through mark schemes and helping them understand how they should structure their answers.
