I am passionate about helping learners with maths. I make classes fun and enjoyable. I am patient, and I can explain maths in different ways until the learner understands.

I live in Cape Town, specifically in the Durbanville area in South Africa.

I have experience in teaching and tutoring, and I also have a background in psychology.

I worked at a small school for kids with learning disabilities. I tutored the CAPS curriculum (the current standard curriculum) to a mixed class of children ranging from grade 3 to 7.

In addition, I have been tutoring privately for the past 2 years.

I hold an Honours degree in Psychology, and I am currently registered as a counsellor. Due to this background in psychology, I have extensive knowledge regarding learning styles and learning problems/disorders. I am able to adapt myself to the learning style of the learner. I am also able to connect with learners and motivate them to work hard and achieve their goals.

I strongly believe that tutoring should be a fun and interactive experience for all!

I provide tutoring services online, from my home, or from the comfort of your home.

Different teachers could use different methods to solve a particular math problem. I always look for an example of how the teacher solved the specific problem, so that I can teach the learner in the same way, to avoid confusion.

If the learner is not understanding the math problem, I look for different ways of explaining the problem.

I generally use a whiteboard to illustrate the math problem. I work together with the learner until they understand the method, and then we practice it. Lire moins
