I am Ca Robertson, a former international school teacher and convener of university conversation classes. Currently, I am tutoring private students with my tutoring company, 'Independent Learning', and working to deliver an effective English curriculum with various NGOs in Hong Kong. For over 15 years, I have been preparing students for a variety of exams, including the Cambridge Young Learners exams, 11+, 13+, SAT, and General and Academic IELTS. My current and former students include business professionals, university professors, adults who want to improve their basic English, and students from top local and international schools. I hold an MEd in Teaching English from Oxford Brookes University and an MA in Religious Studies and Spanish from the University of Glasgow.

I am an experienced and UK-trained teacher of English, History, and Law. I specialize in teaching teens and adults with ADHD and Autism. I tailor each lesson to the needs and interests of my student, using their interests and ideas to help them through the school curriculum. I teach online. In-person appointments can be arranged in Central, Midlevels, Lamma Island, or Aberdeen. In-person lessons in other areas of Hong Kong may be arranged by negotiation.

I have armed myself with more than five years of pedagogical experience. I started working as a part-time tutor when I was a sophomore. Most of my students were young learners cramming for IELTS/TOEFL tests. Before completing my bachelor's degree from the Faculty of Liberal Arts at Mahidol University, I had decided to be a freelance tutor and started to develop English courses on my own. They are based on the idea of creative, discussion-based, and interactive learning. The aim is to bolster students' confidence in using English in the long term. I won the 'Academic Excellence Scholarship' from the University of York, UK. Since gaining a master's degree in MA English Literary Studies from York, I have devoted myself to online teaching. This time, I teach English and English literature to high school students, university students, and adult learners.
