I began studying piano, vocal music, and flute at the age of five. During my childhood, I was highly enthusiastic about participating in various performances and competitions. At the age of 17, I completed my diploma in piano performance and was awarded the Vocal Scholarship at the Auckland Best of the West Vocal Competition in the same year. Following this, I was invited by the University of Auckland, New Zealand, to pursue a double bachelor’s degree in Music (Honours) and Literature. After graduating, I continued my studies with a master’s degree in Music, majoring in Musicology. After returning to Hong Kong, I completed a professional certificate in Music Therapy and went on to earn a second master’s degree at Hong Kong Baptist University, specializing in Orchestral Conducting. I have had the privilege of studying under many renowned teachers, including piano masters Tamas Vermas, Nan Gibson, and Li Ming Qiang; vocal masters Isabel Cunningham, Beatrice Webster, and Dr. Anthony Derek; and flute under Kate Lawson, principal of the Hong Kong Sinfonietta. In addition to my diplomas in piano and vocal performance, I hold a teaching certificate (CT ABRSM) from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music and have achieved Grade 8 in Pop Singing from Rockschool. In recent years, I have been actively involved in promoting public music activities, participating in community and charity performances, and serving as an adjudicator for important music competitions.

Freelance Musician Manila, Philippines – June 2010 to July 2017 As a freelance music teacher in the Philippines, I taught students in their own homes for 8 years. I have had students ranging from as young as 4 years old to as old as 45 years old, including one student whom I taught for 7 years. Most of my students progressed from beginner to advanced level. They have gone on to perform in musical concerts, play in different countries, and perform during family occasions. I conducted a recital every summer to showcase the progress of each student. Most of my students were foreigners.
